Shania Twain (born Eilleen Regina Edwards 28. august 1965) Is a Canadian songs that mix country and pop.
Shania Twain was born in Windsor in Ontario, Canada, and raised in the small town Timmins in Ontario, Canada. She is the middle of the three daughters to Clarence and Sharon Edwards (sister Jill is two years older and Carrie-Ann three years younger). When she was six, her mother married him again, with Jerry Twain, a full-blooded Ojibwa (Native-Canadian) from Timmins, Ontario, Canada. Shania Twain adopted as his own children, making Shania to 50 per cent indigenous by law. Shania learned to play guitar as a child and spent most of their spare time to sing and play. As children sang Shania Twain in bars after closing time, and as a thirteen year old, she began appearing on Canadian Tommy Hunter Show the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in Canada. When Shania was 22, was both her parents killed in an accident, and after this tragic event, she Legal responsibility for one sister and her two half-brothers Mark and Darryl. This responsibility meant that she had to put his musical career temporarily on ice. In 1991 changed her name to Shania (meaning "I'm on my way" in Ojibwa), and signed a contract with Mercury Nashville in the same year. Her first album was hardly noticed, but her second album, released in 1995 sold huge, and broke world records in sales.
